ABOUT PAPERGRID
Useful PDF tools, with honest boundaries.
PaperGrid is an independent product created by Sumit Verma. It provides free browser-based PDF utilities and publishes what each tool does, where processing happens and what the tool cannot guarantee.
The goal is straightforward: make routine document work faster without asking people to hand their files to an unexplained server. Working tools are enabled only when they can produce a real download; unfinished concepts remain visibly unavailable.
How tools are tested
PaperGrid checks the production build, canonical routes and expected output behavior before publishing. Core page operations are also exercised against generated PDFs that are saved and reopened.
- Input and range validation
- Output can be parsed again
- Mobile-responsive controls
- Clear errors and limitations
How privacy works
Supported tools read file bytes through browser APIs and create downloads on the device. Processing libraries are served with PaperGrid. The site does not send document contents to a PaperGrid processing server.
- No account required
- No document retention
- No file names in usage events
- Public open-source notices
How claims are written
PaperGrid avoids claiming that a browser operation can solve every PDF problem. Each dedicated page records practical constraints such as encryption, memory, hidden content, output review and unsupported formats.
- Working and unavailable labels
- Task-specific limitations
- No security guarantee from a watermark
- No crop presented as redaction
MEASUREMENT
Small counters, no document data
PaperGrid records a tool or guide identifier and simple aggregate actions such as open, process, success, error or return. A device-local date can register a later-day return without sending a browser identifier. Recognizable AI-assistant traffic is reduced to a broad source bucket; raw referrers, file names, document contents and values entered into tools are excluded. Return and AI-referral counts are directional rather than person-level attribution.
RELEASE NOTES
Current production release
20 October 2026: Organize PDF added accessible multi-page selection for bulk rotation, duplication and removal, plus one-step whole-document reversal. The source document still remains in the browser, at least one output page must remain, and each bulk action can be restored through the existing 20-step undo history.
