- Files stay in your browser
- 100 MB per file
Use the merger for reports, invoices, board packs, contracts, application documents, scanned records, or any set of PDFs that belongs in one file. PaperGrid first renders a quick first-page check, then lets you expand each file to preview and select every page locally. Leave a Pages field blank for the whole source, click thumbnails to include or exclude pages, or type a range such as 1-3, 5. Choose Arrange all pages to drag pages from different PDFs into one exact output order, use accessible arrow buttons, rotate an individual page clockwise, or remove it from the final output. PaperGrid copies the remaining ordered pages into a new PDF. Files can be up to 100 MB each, subject to available browser memory.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Merge PDF FAQ
How do I merge PDF files?
Choose at least two PDFs, drag them into the order you want or use the arrow controls, and select Process in browser. PaperGrid creates and downloads one combined PDF.
Can I merge selected pages from each PDF?
Yes. After adding files, expand Preview pages and click thumbnails to include or exclude pages, or enter page numbers or ranges such as 1-3, 5. Leave the field blank to include the entire file.
Can I preview PDFs before merging?
Yes. PaperGrid shows a quick first-page preview for each selected PDF. Choose Preview pages beside a file to render every page locally and select the pages you want before merging.
Can I reorder pages from different PDFs?
Yes. Choose Arrange all pages to open one visual output grid. Drag page cards across the grid or use their accessible earlier and later buttons, then merge in that exact order.
Can I interleave pages from two PDFs?
Yes. In Arrange all pages, manually alternate page cards from the two source PDFs. PaperGrid follows the final visual grid order when it creates the output.
Can I rotate one page while merging PDFs?
Yes. Open Arrange all pages and use the clockwise rotation button on that page card. Repeated presses rotate it by 90, 180 or 270 degrees in the merged output.
Can I remove pages in the final merge preview?
Yes. Use the remove button on any page card in Arrange all pages. PaperGrid keeps the source PDFs unchanged and requires at least one page in the output.
Is the PaperGrid PDF merger free?
Yes. The current browser-based PDF merger can be used without an account or payment.
Does PaperGrid add a watermark or require sign-up?
No. The current merger requires no account and does not add a PaperGrid watermark to the downloaded PDF.
Are my PDFs uploaded to PaperGrid?
No. The supported merger processes the selected PDF files in your browser. Its processing libraries are served with PaperGrid, and PaperGrid does not send your document files to its server.
Can I merge PDFs offline?
Yes. While online, choose Prepare offline use in the merger and wait for the ready confirmation. PaperGrid caches the application files for returning offline use; browser storage policies can remove that cache.
Can I merge PDFs on a phone?
The interface is responsive and can work in a modern mobile browser. Large documents may be easier to process on a computer because browser memory varies by device.
Does merging reduce PDF quality?
PaperGrid copies pages into a new PDF and does not intentionally rasterize them. Some document metadata or advanced interactive features may not be preserved exactly.
